Options and accessories
We supply iCober SAC and MultiLock devices in a configuration matched to the particular installation. Below are all the available options — from a larger battery to fill-level measurement.
A larger battery
A larger battery can extend the device's working life from about 2 years to as much as 5, depending on the configuration and on how it is used. It pays off where replacing the battery means an extra journey or is otherwise awkward.
A colour display
Instead of an RGB LED alone, the device can show clear messages directly on a screen. The display stays readable in full sun and across wide viewing angles. The wording can be personalised and prepared in several languages, matched to the needs of the particular deployment.
A speaker with spoken prompts
The device can guide the user by voice while they use the container — confirming that it is open, asking for it to be closed, and confirming that they are done. The wording can be adapted to the deployment and prepared in several languages. Separate messages can be set for residents, technicians and people without permission.
Fill-level measurement
A sensor using Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology measures the fill level of the container. The sensor electronics sit in their own separate housing, while power and communication run through the device. The sensor connects to the device by a cable with a Plug & Play connector, so it needs neither its own power supply nor a separate communication system. The sensor does not measure only the nearest point — it analyses the signal across its whole field of view and works out the fill level from that, including when the waste lies unevenly.

DESFire EV3 credentials
Where a higher level of security is required, DESFire EV3 cards are available. Using cryptographic mechanisms, the card and the device confirm each other's authenticity, which makes cloning a card considerably harder. Unlike simpler identification media, security does not rest on a fixed number stored on the card.
Changes to order
We do not confine the device to the standard configuration. We can modify the construction, the electronics, the communication and the software — from the mounting and the housing to extra sensors and the data format. That lets us prepare a solution matched to a particular installation, particular working conditions and the requirements of the system.
